4 large vertices – Diego Canogar, 2012
Diego Canogar’s habitual use of light resources in the form of LEDs reinforce the volumes of “4 large vertices”, which accentuate the three-dimensional shape on the surface and strengthen its stateliness in the changing space.
The welded iron seems to follow a simple scheme yet with subtle complexities activated by the different sets of perspectives to which the work is subjected, provoking an interesting tension between its hieratism and the spectator’s subjective experience.
